The Chalet 1597 was constructed years ago in this landscape between conifers and giddy heights, lit up every sunset to form a fascinating spectacle.
The dwelling’s proud, noble allure recalls its luxurious past in imperial times.
Area & Experiences
It overlooks a territory whose west is closed off by the banks of Lake Constance, and which, towards Vienna, gives way to another fascinating region, Tyrol.
Constance – a fitting name for a lake whose enchantment has never wavered. Composed of two bodies of water connected by a section of the Rhine, the lake’s clear and tranquil mirror-like depths stretch over 500 km2. The westernmost edges of Austria conclude on its banks, while the other side of the lake is claimed by the Germans and the Swiss. Heading eastwards, Austria is sculpted by deep valleys that rise all the more strikingly to the princely summits of Voralberg – a region that embodies all of the country’s charms.
Snow covers these green lands more lavishy the higher we ascend. On the fringes of pastures, half-timbered houses with orangey roofs cluster around old churches, often at the edge of gigantic pine forests. Higher up, coveted ski areas occupy the slopes; one of these, Lech Am Arlberg, conceals, within its calm districts, a gem in mountain architecture.
