Located in Siena province in the heart of rural Tuscany, the river Orcia cuts a path between wheat fields and vineyards. The orange-soaked silhouette of Villa Brunelo bakes in the sun, standing out from its bucolic environment. To get here, follow the winding country roads for about fifteen kilometres from the medieval village of Montalcino.

Watch the Palio from a resident’s house
The Palio race is held twice a year, on 2 July and 16 August. This famous horse race is ridden bareback and has been organised every year since 1644, almost without fail, on the main square in Siena, Piazza del Campo.
