The island of Tinos is said to be, according to the Greek Mythology, the domain of Eolus, master of the wind. When Ulysses the traveler, during his great Odysseus, stopped by, the master of the place offered him the winds which would fill its sails and allow him to go back to his beloved, Penelope. Even today, Tinos is a place of beauty and secrets. Authentic and well-preserved, the island welcomes one of the most important Orthodox pilgrimages every year, that’s why the island is also called the “Greek Lourdes”.Learn more
The landscapes, displaying hills and mountains, are incredibly stunning. The waterfront gives onto the Aegean Sea, with sublime sand beaches or rocky shores. It is in the heart of this place impregnated with beauty and magic that stands the villa Artemis, wearing the name of the Goddess of hunting and wilderness, being born, according to the legend on the Dilos Island, one can see from the villa. This mansion has a surface area of 100m2, several terraces and verandas, and offers a panoramic view onto the rocky shores of the island. The architecture of the villa is clearly modern and is combined with particularities of the traditional Greek houses: white walls, many terraces, little stone walls surrounded by shrubs and olive trees.
The interior of the house, white and luminous, recalls also the influence of the Mediterranean culture: narrow apparent beams, wrought iron, round fireplace set in the corner of the room. The villa Artemis is displayed on two levels. The first floor opens onto a luminous living room giving directly onto a terrace and a veranda with pergola. The open kitchen is fully equipped and is decorated with a simple and contemporary style. It also gives onto the outside, there an infinity edge pool looks over the steep granite coast and its profound bays.
Both bedrooms are downstairs, each one has its own bathroom, contemporary and colorful, as well as a veranda that looks over the sea. The master’s bedroom and the double bedroom are carefully decorated: the tables, beds and chairs are made from pale wood and are traditional and elegant.
Facing a preserved nature, on a mythical island, the villa Artemis is a haven of beauty, tradition and comfort. Those who stay here can feel, for a moment, as if they were the Gods of Olympus.
